Anchorsong은 그의 라이브 쇼를 통해 일본을 비롯한 전세계적인 많은 친분을 다져왔다. 우리가 여기서 의미하는 라이브 음악, 즉 Yoshida의 음악은 샘플러와 키보드 그리고 연주 테크닉으로부터 나온다. 종종 이러한 사운드는 현악 4중주로 확장되기도 한다.

그의 출신지인 일본에서 Lastrum을 통하여 발매한 몇몇의 곡은 그를 런던에 알려주는 역할을 했으며, 이내 브라이튼의 Tru Thoughts와의 인연을 만들어주었다. 여기서 그는 4개의 트랙이 담긴 CDR인 Darkrum EP을 제작했다. 이로써 Boiler Room TV 출현과 Radio 1의 Huw Stephens의 열렬한 지지는 많은 이들의 관심을 모으는 데에 도움을 주었다.

2014년 그는 “Mawa” EP로 BBE Recordings와 계약하였으며 이는 한정판 Clear 10” 바이닐에 실렸다. Orchestre Poly-Rythmo나 Fela Kuti 스타일의 Afrobeat와 새로워진 음악 비전을 보여주는 High Life 장르에 이르는 다양한 영향을 받아 이전보다 더 많은 샘플과 컷 앤 페이스트 식의 접근을 접목시킨 작업이었다.

머지 않아 Gilles Peterson, Karizma, Osunlade 그리고 Craig Smith와 같은 이들의 찬사를 받았으며 다가오는 투어 일정은 Anchorsong의 기념 앨범 발매를 축하하기 위함이다. 매우 큰 기대를 받아온 이 앨범은 풍부한 텍스쳐의 사운드와 21세기 일류 작곡가의 수준으로써 당신이 예상할 만한 민속적인 리듬으로 가득 차 있다.

Anchorsong has been winning friends in Japan and internationally with his live shows, and yes we do mean live: Yoshida’s music is created with a sampler and a keyboard, from scratch at his gigs. Sometimes these sounds are augmented by a string quartet.

With a couple of releases for Lastrum in his native Japan, Anchorsong relocated to London and soon hooked up with the Brighton-based Tru Thoughts label, who put out a four-track CDR called the Darkrum EP. That, an appearance on Boiler Room TV , and support from Radio 1’s Huw Stephens have all helped to garner attention.

In 2014, he signed the seismic “Mawa” EP to BBE Recordings for a limited edition clear 10” vinyl release, taking a more sample-laden, cut and paste approach with influences from Orchestre Poly-Rythmo to Fela Kuti-style Afrobeat to High Life showing renewed musical vision.

Praise from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Karizma, Osunlade and Craig Smith soon followed, This upcoming tour is celebrating Anchorsongs highly anticipated upcoming LP release of Ceremonial, a richly textured tapestry of sounds and tribal rhythms you would expect from a 1st class 21st century composer.
