Crackazat으로 더 잘 알려져 있는 Ben J Worrall은 오랜기간 재즈뮤직 작곡과 공연 분야에서 활동했던 영국 브리스톨(Bristol)출신의 작곡가이자 아티스트이다. 따뜻하고 jazzy한 아이덴티디의 앨범들을 내놓으면서 전자음악 씬에 등장한 이후 그는 빠른 속도로 대중으로부터 많은 관심과 집중을 받고 있다.

2012년에는 스웨덴으로 거처를 옮겨 Disclosure, Detroit Swindle, Homework등을 서포트 하고 있는 스웨덴의 잘 알려진 하우스 레이블인 Local Talk와 함께 다수의 트랙과 리믹스 앨범들을 릴리즈 하면서 레지던트 어드바이저(Resident Advisor), DJ Mag등에서 꾸준히 좋은 위치를 유지해오고 있다.

Crackazat은 이에 멈추지 않고 2015년, 첫 데뷔앨범인 ‘Crescendo’를 발표하면서 새로운 도약에 나섰다. 그의 이번 앨범에서는 하우스 음악과 다운템포, 그리고 중간중간 crackazat 본인의 보컬들까지 다양하게 믹싱한 트랙들을 선보이면서 많은 DJ와 리스너들은 Crackazat만의 유쾌하고 중독성있는 따뜻한 음색에 주목하게 되었다.

라이브 퍼포먼스에서는 그의 트랙들과 함께 수준급의 키보드 연주를 들을 수 있는 기회를 같이 즐길 수 있다는 점이 그의 플레이를 매번 유니크하고 더욱 기대되는 공연으로 만들어 주고 있다.

Originally from Bristol (England), Ben J Worrall aka Crackazat is a musician, producer and composer, with a formal background in jazz composition and performance. Since his emergence on the international scene, he has quickly become recognised for his distinctly jazzy, warm and organic take on electronic music.

His relocation to Sweden in 2012, kick-started an alliance with Swedish house label Local Talk, where he has had multiple releases and remixes gaining support from Disclosure, Detroit Swindle, Homework and consistently ranking top spots in Resident Advisor and DJ Mag.

In march 2015, Crackazat climbed to new artistic heights, with the release of is debut album ‘Crescendo’ on Local Talk. Combined electronically enhanced house and downtempo, and even some singing by the man himself. Crescendo has won the hearts of many a DJ and listener and created global following for his unique brand of joyous and infections brand of dance music

When it comes to performing live, Crackazat’s swirling keyboard solos over improvised reworks of his productions make every show a truly unique and thrilling experience.
