A drummer for 16 years, Akimbo (a.k.a Rhylon Durham) has spent most of his musical career playing drums, electronics, and percussion in experimental funk and rock bands. After traveling through South America, he absorbed the rhythms and energy of salsa, cumbia, and afro-Colombian sounds. After moving to Korea in 2009, Rhylon recorded and toured in Korea/Japan with his band LHASA (2009-2011 http://lhasa.bandcamp.com. In 2011, Rhylon was invited to participate in the Red Bull Music Academy in Madrid. Akimbo is the name of Rhylon’s current DJ/production project, in which he fuses afro-disco, house, tropical, cumbia, and bass music into a unique style all his own.

16년 경력의 드러머인 아킴보(a.k.a. 라일런 더햄)는 자신의 음악적 커리어의 상당 부분을 익스페리멘털록과 훵크 밴드의 드러머로서 보냈다. 그는 남미를 여행하면서 그 곳의 리듬과 살사, 꿈비아, 아프로 콜롬비안 에너지로부터 영감을 받았다. 한국으로 이주 후 그는 밴드 라싸(Lhasa)로서 앨범발매와 한국과 일본의 투어를 하였다. 그는 2011년 스페인 마드리드의 저명한 “레드불 뮤직 아카데미”에 아티스트로 초대되어 참가하기도 하였다. 아킴보는 DJ/프로듀서 프로젝트로서의 이름이며 트로피컬, 아프로 디스코, 하우스, 트로피칼, 꿈비아, 베이스 뮤직을 위주로 그만의 색을 연출한다.

사우스 아프리카 더반에서 온 블랙모스는 타운쉽 풩크 음악의 박사라고도 할 수 있다. 그는 올드스쿨 카와투에서 타운쉽 째즈까지 그만의 신나고 유쾌한 타운쉽 분위기를 내어준다.

=== Quandol ===

An experienced session percussionist in Seoul, Quandol is no stranger to the stage. After being a member of the classic group Asoto Union, he helped form the reggae band Windy City, playing with the group from 2005-2010. He’s performed as a session musician with latin, jazz, salsa, and hip-hop groups, and brings his rhythmic sense to his DJ sets and original productions. Quandol currently produces and DJs as a part of the Overthose and 360 Sounds collectives, both of which represent some of the most vibrant music in the city. His unique DJ style spans genres like reggae, hip-hop, bass, latin, and baile funk. Be certain that Quandol will bring an experienced ear and deep selection of tropical heat.

퍼커션 연주자로서 Windy City부터 ZLP(Zion Luz Project)까지 국내외의 크고 작은 수많은 라이브를 통해 축적한 경험과, DJ로서 레게부터 라틴소울, 힙합, 베이스뮤직까지 다양한 음악 취향에 기반해 자신만의 확실한 기준으로 뮤직러버들에게 어필할 수 있는, 서울에서 흔치 않은 프로듀서. Asoto Union의 라이브 세션으로 음악 커리어를 시작한 이래 2005년부터 2010년까지 Windy City의 멤버로 활동했고, 그 이후로 라틴재즈, 살사, 힙합부터 인디록까지 다양한 밴드의 주요 멤버 혹은 세션으로 활동하는 한편 현재 서울에서 가장 많은 관심과 기대를 받는 프로듀서/DJ 크루 중 하나인 Overthose를 결성해 DJ/프로듀서로서 지속적으로 서울의 스트릿 씬에 공헌하고 있다.

=== Kimpro ===

Kimpro started his career as a battle DJ in 2003. Working together with DJ ITM, Kimpro’s been rocking parties since 2006, at parties like Unexpectedly Facing Music, Sound Bombin, Desire Polishing, Music Cookin’ etc.
He’s a resident DJ at the Busan club Almost Famous, which is well-known to be the most dynamic club in the city. Kimpro also runs Gunbong Studios with Gaya Kangol, making parties and screen-printing under their own brand.
A Kimpro DJ set crosses borders between funk, disco, afro, latin, and hip-hop, creating a signature style and a warm house party vibe.

2003년 kimpro는 배틀 디제이로서 활동을 시작한다. 그당시 같은 팀이였던 DJ ITM에게 음악적 영향으로 2006년부터 파티 기획 스핀을 하게된다. (어쩌다 마주친 뮤직, Sound Bombin, 욕구의 세련화, MUSIC COOKIN’등) 부산을 대표하는 독립적 클럽 Almost Famous에서 정기적인 플레이를 통해 그의 잠재력을 다시한번 인정받고 있으며 지역,문화,장르라는 한계를 뛰어넘기 위해 FUNK, DISCO, AFRO, LATIN, HIPHOP등 다양한 음악들을 디깅하여 스핀중이다. 현재 KIMPRO는 GAYA KANGOL과 함께 Gunbong Park 스튜디오를 운영중이며 그래픽티셔츠, 믹스테이프, 플라이어표지등 아트웍을 담당하고있다.

다수의 아티스트와의 협업을 거쳐 현재는 Reggae/Dub음악을 중심으로 한 Melodica Player, Percussionist, Selector(DJ), 그리고 Producer를 하고 있다. Windy City를 비롯한 다수의 밴드 혹은 그룹에서 객원/세션으로 활동을 했고, 2007년 김반장과 프랑스에서 온 Dubwiser 화랑과 함께 결성한 I&I Djangdan에서 본격적으로 멜로디카 플레이어와 퍼커셔니스트의 활동, 같은 시기 셀렉타로써의 활동도 시작했다. 2012년부터는 스스로 프로듀싱을 시작, 전설적인 영국의 Alpha & Omega의 새로운 프로잭트의 앨범에 참여하거나 Alpha Steppa와 함께 콜라보를 하는 등, 유럽/일본 등 해외 아티스트들과의 결과물을 내고 있으며, 개인 작업물은 해외 컴필레이션 혹은 정규 앨범에 수록이 되거나 싱글 등을 발매중. 2014년 봄에는 셀렉타로써 일본의 중부/서부 사운드시스템 투어를 성공적으로 마치고, 초가을에 중부/동부 사운드시스템 투어가 다시한번 기획 되고 있다.

Smiley Song is a prominent figure in the Korean and Japanese reggae scene, doing duty as a melodica player, percussionist, producer, and DJ. A session musician in many bands including Windy City, Smiley was also a founding member of the legendary deep Korean dub group I & I Djangdan. He’s worked with Alpha Steppa Records in their Alpha & Omega project, and has been collaborating with many artists from Europe and Japan. With regular tours through the bass sound-systems of Japan, Smiley has developed a razor-sharp ear for groove and low end.
