몇년 동안, 브루클린에 기반을 둔 프로듀서 Dubbel Dutch는 미국 클럽 음악씬에서 선지자적인 역할을 해왔으며, 자주 그의 동료들 사이에서 한발 앞서 다음 유행을 이끌게 될 사운드를 발견하고 정의하는 행보를 걸어왔다.

자칭, “인터넷 폐인”이라 칭하는 Dubbel의 디지털 상자는 전 세계 구석에서 온 잘 알려지지 않은 레코드 뿐 아니라 그 자 신이 프로덕션하고, 편집하고, 물론 생각이 비슷한 콜라브레이터들과 독점적으로 만들어낸 작품들로 가득하다. 디제이 셋과 트랙 모두는 UK House, Grime, US Club Music, Dancehall / Soca, South African House, Kuduro, Bubbling 그리고 Rap/RnB, 등을 포함한 다양한 세계적 스타일로 부터 영감을 받았다.

Vybz Cartel, Mele, 그리고 Jubilee와 나란히 함께 Dre Skull의 브루클린 레이블- ‘Mixpak records’ 뿐 아니라 J Cush의 ‘Lit City records’ 레이블과 계약한 그는 어떤 규칙없이 잘 쪼개진,다양한 장르가 매끄럽게 믹스되고 함께 이어진 음악을 선보이고 있다.

올해 Dubbel Dutch는 너무나 매력적인 앰비언트 싱글 ” Everything Nice” 를 포함한 Popcaan이 거대하게 데뷰했던 “Where We Come From”의 5개 트랙을 프로듀서 했고, 유튜브를 통해 450만 조회수를 기록했다.

이 바닥에서 가장 다이나믹한 디제이 중 한이자 행복한 파티 디제이인 Dubbel Dutch 가 다시한번 Cakeshop으로 돌아와 또 한번의 핵폰탄 나잇을 던져줄 예정이다!

For several years, Brooklyn-based producer Dubbel Dutch has acted as a harbinger for American club music, often steps ahead of his peers in discovering and defining the proverbial next sound. As both a producer and DJ, he has shown a willingness to study, reinterpret and re-contextualize disparate sounds, transfixing his skills on a grab bag of genres.

A self-proclaimed “internet-digger” Dubbel’s digital crates are full of obscure records from around the globe, as well as his own productions, edits, and of course, exclusive material from like-minded collaborators. Both his DJ sets and tracks pull inspiration from a variety of global styles including UK House and Grime, US Club Music, Dancehall / Soca, South African House, Kuduro, Bubbling, and Rap/RnB and more.

Signed to Dre Skull’s Brooklyn label – ‘Mixpak records’ alongside Vybz Cartel, Mele, and Jubilee, as well as J Cush’s label of the moment ‘Lit City records’, expect a seamless mix of genres chopped and spliced together with no rules.

This year Dubbel Dutch produced 5 tracks on Popcaan’s monster debut “Where We Come From”, including the gorgeous almost-ambient single “Everything Nice.” which has 4.5 million views on Youtube. His absolutely amazing Fader Mix has also been in constant rotation with our crew.
