Juke/Footwork 음악이 세계적으로 주목받기 전부터 오랫동안 일본의 Juke 씬에 있어 절대적 존재감을 갖는 선구자로서 일본 국내는 물론 해외에 익히 알려진 DJ이자 프로듀서. 일본 Juke/Footwork의 대명사라고 할 레이블 ‘Booty Tune’을 2008년 설립하고 같은 해 자신의 데뷔 EP를 릴리스한 이래, 오사카를 거점으로 일본 전역에서 그 인기를 구가하고 있다. Juke/Footwork을 축으로 Ghettotech, Electro, Chicago House 등을 스핀한다. Planet Mu와 Hyperdub의 일본 릴리스에 병행한 오피셜 MIX CD를 발표하기도 했으며, 스페인의 Concept Radio에서 발표한 DJ MIX에서는 JUKE속에 Tech 스타일을 흡수하면서 새로운 가능성을 모색하였고, 2015년에는 6번째 앨범 “My Mind Beats Vol.02“를 릴리스하였으며, 그에 앞선 “My Mind Beats Vol.01“은 미국의 저명한 음악매체 Rolling Stone의 “20 Best EDM and Electronic Albums of 2015″에 선정되면서 세계의 음악 팬들로부터 주목 받았다. 일본을 방문하는 Juke/Footwork 아티스트 대부분의 공연을 주관하거나 공동출연하고 있으며, 타워 레코드의 리뷰 사이트 Mikiki에서 “D.J.Fulltono의 Crazy Tunes”을 연재 중이다. 아마도 그의 가장 유명한 지지자인 Kode9의 BBC Radio 1을 비롯해 세계의 수많은 라디오/팟캐스트에서 아시아 댄스뮤직 네트워크에 있어서 가장 중요한 인물 중 하나로 자신의 레이블 Booty Tune과 함께 꾸준히 소개되고 있다.

He is known as a pioneer DJ and producer leading Japan’s Juke/Footwork music scene to the world for a long time even before footwork music getting popular. In 2008, he has established a label “Booty Tune” to release his debut EP and now it is recognized as a byword of Japan’s Juke music. Based in Juke and Footwork, he has been keeping his voracious DJ style in various genre including Ghettotech, Electro and Chicago House etc. He provided Planet Mu and Hyperdub with the official mix CDs to celebrate their releases in Japan. His 5th EP “My Mind Beats Vol.1” was selected in “20 Best EDM and Electronic Albums of 2015” by the Rolling Stone U.S. and received a great reputation from the world. He was introduced as one of the most important producers in Asian dance music network to the world by several magazines and radio shows including VICE and BBC Radio 1.

PHANTOMS OF RIDDIM은는 첨단의 댄스뮤직으로부터 우리가 놓치고 있었던 미싱링크를 루츠를 거슬러 올라가 만나는 일에 큰 관심이 있습니다. 자메이카에서 탄생되고 영국을 통해 세계로 확산되었던, 그러나 여전히 한국에서는 미지의 영역으로 남아있는 사운드시스템 & 베이스 컬쳐에 기반해, Grime부터 Digital Dancehall, UKG, Dubstep, Hiphop, Juke/Footwork, Miami Bass까지 현재에 복제되어온 과거의 미래지향적 음악과, 미래에 복제될 현재의 미래지향적 음악을 다룹니다.
