V.O.G.U.E. w/ LE1F @ CAKESHOP

이번달 V.O.G.U.E.가 생일을 맞아 당연히 특별한 손님을 준비하였다.
오는 11월 29일, 우리의 첫 인터내셔널한 아티스트인 뉴욕의 랩퍼 LE1F를 선보인다.

스테이지 네임 LE1F로 잘 알려진 Khalif Diouf는 뉴욕 출신의 랩퍼이자 프로듀서이며, Greedhead Music의 자회사인 hip hop label Camp & Street의 창립자이다. 그는 굉장히 특이하고 유니크한 스타일과 음악으로 유명하며, Mykki Blanco, Zebra Katz등과 함께 뉴욕에서의 게이 랩퍼 붐을 일으킨 장본인 중 하나이다.

힙합그룹 Das Racist의 트랙을 프로듀싱하고 Mykki Blanco의 트랙 Fucking the DJ를 피쳐링하며 명성을 쌓던 LE1F는, 음악적으로 찬사를 받은 3개의 믹스테이프 Dark York, Fly Zone, Tree House로 유명해졌으며 그의 마지막 EP Hey는 올해 3월에 발매되었다.

우리는 LE1F를 서울에 선보이게 되어 매우 자랑스럽다.

서울의 언더그라운드 씬을 이끌고있는 Cakeshop Seoul에서 v.o.g.u.e.는 당신의 신념에 관계없이 서울의 가장 핫한 그리고 가장 진보적인 LGBT night을 선사할 것이다.

‘힐’에서 벗어나 음악에 중점을 둔 v.o.g.u.e.는 항상 단조롭고 한정되어있는 서울의 퀴어 씬에 새로운 자리를 만들었으며 그날 보그를 서포트하기 위해 서울 최고의 로컬 DJ들인 Wood X, Ligrye, Shins와 함께한다.

또한 우리는 저번 파티에서 완벽한 vogueing 공연을 보여주어 값진 밤을 선사한 프로페셔널 보그댄서 Naquan과 Jonah를 다시 한 번 초청하였다.

그리고 F:::Up이 VJ를 맡아 독특한 비쥬얼을 선사한다.

We’re back and it’s our birthday!!! This November, V.O.G.U.E. at Cakeshop Seoul turns one, and to celebrate we have something very special indeed. On the 29th we will be welcoming our very first international artist, New York rapper Le1f.

Khalif Diouf, better known by his stage name Le1f, is an American rapper and producer from New York. He runs the hip hop label Camp & Street, which is a subsidiary of Greedhead Music. He is well known for his unorthodox production styles and also for being an openly gay rapper.

After making a name for himself producing tracks for Das Racist, Le1f rose to prominence with three critically acclaimed mixtapes, Dark York, Fly Zone and Tree House, and an appearance on Mykki Blanco’s track Fuckin the DJ. His latest Ep, Hey, was released in March of this year.

We are very proud to present to you, Le1f.

Takin place at Seoul’s leading underground club ’Cakeshop Seoul’, v.o.g.u.e. brings together hundreds of boys and girls of all persuasions for what is Seoul’s premier and most forward thinking LGBT night.

Away from the ‘Hill’ and with a focussed music policy, v.o.g.u.e. is a welcomed addition to the monotonous and limited gay nightlife scene LGBTs are subjected to in Seoul. We’ll be using some of Seoul’s best local DJs for support on the night including Wood X, Ligrye and Shins.

After their amazing performance at the last night, we will also be having vogue dancers Naquan and Jonah performing over the evening.

Visuals on the night will be provided by F:::Up, Seoul’s quirkiest VJ.

Whatever your orientation, come get down, get sweaty, support your scene, and let’s make this another night to remember!
