일본 각지역의 클럽들과 페스티벌들을 중심으로 한국, 타이페이, 베이징, 홍콩, 독일, 그리스, 오스트리아, 캐나다 등 세계적으로도 지속적으로 활동하고 있는 DJ SODEYAMA 는 2006년 발표한 첫 앨범 ‘METAL HEART’ 를 시작으로, MARCO CAROLA 의 릴리즈로 잘 알려져 있는 “ZENIT” 에서 일본인으로서는 첫 계약을 하며 두장의 EP를 발표하였다.

2007년에는 두번째 정규앨범 ‘DUAL’ 을 발표하였으며, 2008년 리믹스 앨범 ‘THE:REMIX’ 의 발표 이후 베를린 투어를 하기도 하였다. 2009년 캐나다의 레이블 “ARCHIPEL”에서 발표된 ‘NOW IS THE TIME’ EP는 LUCIANO, LAURENT GARNIER, MATHIAS KADEN, NICK CURLY 등 세계적인 아티스트들에게 서포트를 받으며 캐나다에서 또한 성공적인 투어를 하게 되었다. 이후 전세계의 다양한 레이블들을 통해 꾸준히 EP 들을 발표하며 아티스트로써, 또 DJ 로써 활발하게 활동하던 SODEYAMA는 2011년, 자신의 레이블인 “ARPA RECORDS” 를 선보이며 NICK CURLY, GLIMPSE, RADIO SLAVE, TIM XAVIER, CHRISTIAN BURKHARDT 등 세계적인 아티스트들의 리믹스 지원속에 지속적으로 자신의 음악을 발표하고 있다.

또한 매달 도쿄의 클럽 WOMB 에서 펼쳐지는 자신의 레이블 쇼케이스 “ARPA SHOWCASE AT WOMB” 을 통해 SVEN VATH, RICHIE HAWTIN, LOCO DICE, JOSH WINK, DUBFIRE 를 비롯한 전세계 최고의 DJ들과 함께 플레이하며 일본이 자랑하는 세계적인 DJ이자 아티스트 그리고 레이블로 발전해 나가고 있다.
자신의 이름외에도 다양한 일렉트로닉 프로젝트인 ‘LO : BLOC’, ‘THE PEOPLE IN FOG’ 등의 이름으로도 앨범을 발표하며 활발한 활동을 펼치고 있는 DJ SODEYAMA는 전자음악을 축으로 다각적인 관점을 가지고 자신만의 세계를 만들어 나가고 있는 테크노 / 일렉트로닉 아티스트이다.

DJ Sodeyama is a DJ/Producer who has been a mainstay on the Tokyo Electronica scene since the early 90’s.

In 2006, his debut album “Metal Heart” caught the attention of those within the scene for its diversity and fresh approach to electronic music. It did not take long for this praise to reach Europe and he was soon signed by Marco Carola’s label ZENIT and with the support of many of the planets leading DJ`s released 3 successful EP’s on this label.

Ever since his second album “Dual” was released in 2007, along with a remixes imprint “The:remix” collaborating with 14 Japanese producers from his own label NO:MORE REC. DJ Sodeyama was able to reel in the success with a hugely anticipated album release tour of Berlin.

On his third outing DJ Sodeyama released “Now is the time” from Canadian label ARCHIPEL which hit the ground running with a release tour of Canada and was given fantastic support from the likes of the who`s who within electronic music in LAURENT GARNIER, LUCIANO, MATIAS KADEN, NICK CURLY and GLIMPSE to name a few.

Another release in April 2010 was the “One Time” EP which saw a deeper side to Sodeyama with a subtle and deep sound allowing him to explore a different side and allowing him to maintain his own take on Electronica.

And he formed his own label ARPA Records which holds its showcase events at WOMB. Among the releases from his own label, he enjoys warm support from a number of artists, and artists such as Nick Curly/GlimpseRADIO SLAVE/ TIM XAVIER/CHRISTIAN BURKHARDT have provided remix work for him. All release has been played by likes of SVEN VATH/RICHIE HAWTIN/JOSH WINK, DUBFIRE with more to follow.

Label showcase “ARPA” kicked off its regular clubnight at WOMB, Tokyo and has been growing ever since with its take on the cutting edge side of dance music within the scene. The label boss DJ Sodeyama has also mirrored the labels success with tours of Korea, Taiwan, Australia, Germany, Amsterdam, London, Canada already under his belt with much more lined up in the future.
