DJ Someone is part of the 360 sounds crew and co-founder of the label Human Nature. He played alongside Coki, Loefah, J Rocc and other big names from the industry.

DJ SOMEONE 은 서울을 대표하는 문화단체 360 Sounds 소속의 DJ이자 Human Nature 레이블의 공동 설립자이다.
UK 씬에서 주목을 받고있는 Coki, Loefah 내한했을때 함께했엇고, Stone Throw의 J Rocc 내한 파티에서도 함께한적이있다.

이번 골목길을 위한 믹스를 간단히 소개해본다면? 
가장 최근에 접하며 신선하게 받아들여졌던 트랙들과 이태원 클럽 케잌샾에서 플레이할때마다 트는트랙들 그리고 가장 여름에 들으면 시원한 트랙들로 선곡했다.

디제이를 할 때 가장 즐거운 점은?
항상 새로운 트랙들로 믹스를 할려고 노력중인데. 내가 느끼고 신선하게 받아들여졌던 트랙들을 플레이했을때 모두가 같이 공감할때 재밌다.

디제이를 시작 하게 된 계기는?
레코드 디깅을 어렸을때부터 해왔고 자연스럽게 디제이로 접어들게 되었다.

해외에서 활동해 본 경험은?
없음.

현재 한국의 언더씬에는 어떤 변화가 있다고 생각하나?
몇년전부터 큰 페스티벌이며 해외에서 보기드문 프로듀서들 및 디제이들이 내한하게 되면서 수많은 사람들이 언더그라운드 클럽씬에도 관심을 가지게 되었다. 지금도 이미 진행이되고있지만 앞으로 몇년뒤에는 정말 한국에서도 지금보다 더 많은 색깔있는 프로듀서 및 디제이들이 월드와일드해질꺼라 믿어 의심치 않는다.

본인의 음악 색깔을 간단히 정의해본다면?
Hip-Hop, Grime, Future Funk, Reggae, etc… 모든장르 안가리고 디깅하고있다.

프로듀싱이나 작곡활동도 하고 있는지?
프로듀싱은 옛날부터 계속 해왔던 일이긴하지만 아직 머리속으로 내스스로가 정리가 안되어있기에 앨범이 안나오는거같다.내년부터는 사운드클라우드를통해서나 앨범으로 작업물들을 공개할 예정이다. 많은 관심 가져주기를 바란다.

요즘 가장 즐겨 듣는 트랙은?
레이블별로 많이 듣는 편이다.
PPU, Hyperdub, Warp, Soulection, Fool’s Gold, Stone Throw etc..

언제 틀어도 지겹지않고 좋다고 생각하는 트랙은?(오래된 곡도 상관 없음)

Tell us about your mix for Golmokgil.
I chose a selection of tracks that felt fresh to me recently. A lot of them are tracks that I played at Club Cakeshop. I tried to pick feel good summer songs…

What is your favourite aspect of DJing?
I always try to play new tracks. I really enjoy when I play tracks that feel fresh that the audience digs them along with me.

How did you start DJing?
I’ve been digging for records since I was young and that naturally lead me to djing.

Have you ever performed abroad?
I still haven’t played abroad.

Do you think there has a been an evolution in the Korean underground scene?
Starting a few years ago, big festivals and the booking of underground artists from abroad has got a lot of people interested in the scene. I really believe it’s something special. In a few years, I think a wider range of Korean DJ’s and producers will become famous worldwide.

What do you think is your musical color?
Hip-Hop, Grime, Future Funk, Reggae, etc… I try to be eclectic and select music from every genre.

Do you also produce?
I have been producing for a long time now. However, I feel like something is still missing in my head, so I’m yet to release an album. I will start releasing my work through Soundcloud next year. I hope that you’ll like it!

What is your favourite track to listen to these days?
I usually listen by label.
Right now I’m into PPU, Hyperdub,Warp,Soulection,Fool’s Gold,Stone Throw etc..
